Singer Alka Yagnik took Instagram to share that she has been diagnosed with sensorineural deafness.

It happened after a regular flight, which rendered her partially deaf.

What is Sensorineural Deafness(SNHL)?

It occurs as a damage to one's auditory nerve.

SNHL causes more than 90% of hearing loss in adults.

Common causes may be exposure to loud noise, genetics or aging.
