Renowned actor James McCaffrey, known for his iconic portrayal of Max Payne in the video game franchise, has passed away at the age of 65. 

McCaffrey's wife, actor Rochelle Bostrom, shared with the media that her husband faced a courageous battle against myeloma. 

The actor, whose career spanned an impressive 35 years, made significant contributions to both the television and gaming industries.

Fellow New York actor and "Entourage" star Kevin Dillon paid tribute to McCaffrey on social media, expressing gratitude for having known him.

James McCaffrey is survived by his wife, Rochelle Bostrom, his daughter, Tiernan McCaffrey, and other family members.
